shiraz is overally safe in the better/ upper level places but can be a bit dangerous in the historical areas in the night but overall people are very nice and hospitable and you'd be fine with some guidance and tips

In general, Isfahan is classified as one of the safest cities in Iran, much more safe than the capital and other major cities. I've personally never had any dangerous or concerning experiences although I must mention the frequent catcalling we experience on the streets if we're walking alone.

In Rasht, security is very high compared to other cities in Iran, especially Tehran. Men are very fond of women and respect them, but like anywhere in the world, there are good and bad people. In some neighborhoods down town, there is a higher chance of fighting and danger, but they have nothing to do with strangers. In the main city, there are very few fights and robberies, or perhaps none at all. People are very hospitable, the food is very delicious, and the city has a very old and beautiful texture that is suitable for a few hours of sightseeing in the alleys and streets of Rasht.
Posted: April 11, 2025It depends where you go and when In general it's very good in morning and afternoon But at nights some streets you shouldn't visit But in general iran is safe and hospitable and friendly On the contrary the things they say in the Social Media about it

I used to stay there more the two years it was safe overall for women alone or group but be careful at night in the places that are very far especially for visitors not locals and must say I wasn't alone at night so can't say anything about that
Posted: March 24, 2025Tehran is a really crowded city, the biggest safety issue is getting cornered in darker and less crowded places in order to rob you specially mobile phones and jewelry. However, phone theft happens really often even in crowded streets or more expensive parts of the city. Most violent crimes I’ve heard of have had financial motives but personally I haven’t been sexually assaulted, but cat calling and verbal harassments happen often depending on which part of the city you’re at
Posted: March 17, 2025Most areas that you would like to explore are safe, but it's best to keep your phone in a cross over bag to make sure you won't be targeted by thieves. Keep in mind hijab is mandatory in Iran and there's sth called morality police that could cause you issues if you don't wear it. You're generally safe as long as you don't stay out too late and you keep your hijab on.
Posted: March 11, 2025Not safe at all and as a woman I got my butt groped despite it being a Muslim country as 3 unarmed men came up to me insisting they were police officers and wanted to do a full body search on me. I would not recommend it to any solo traveller
Posted: February 19, 2025To be fair it totally depends on the different neighborhoods you want to visit. Morality police in iran in general is an issue and you would have to wear hijab to stay out of trouble unfortunately. Other than that in some parts of the city some people would be cat calling ladies and such and robbery is common in some places as well but not usually in tourist spots and in overall it’s safe but you have to be cautious and know where you’re going. Some crowded touristic areas are very safe at nights so it’s just better to stick together and ask about safe areas before going anywhere

Tehran is much more safer than Turkey which I lived earlier! We have no problem walking in dark and never feel unsafe in here. There are police in every corner also and you will always feel protected!

Hi, We travelled Iran last week and it was an amazing experience. We travelled with a group and we wear closed clothing when we are in outdoor. But in inside of cafe, hotels you can wear whatever you want.
