Is Providencia safe for solo female travelers?

Providencia is one of the safest places to be in Santiago. Mostly people working and getting into places. But you have to be careful with your personal belongings, is very easy to spot a tourist, I recommend only use the phones inside of a store!

Providencia is safe, always keeping in mind that if we seem very clueless or lost, they might take advantage of that, but it is a place where you can walk day and night without worry. The biggest theft they might commit is of your phone, so I recommend holding it firmly and not taking it out much in the street, but nothing more.

It is a very nice area full with people (they either live, work or study there). You just got to be sure to be aware of your surroundings and try to avoid keeping your phone at sight, especially in the night
