About me

I am an 18 year old engineering student in Istanbul, Turkey and I like to travel when I can spare time from school. I am also a part time musician and I play the flute in a youth symphony orchestra. I would like to meet new people around the world and become friends. I enjoy hosting the people I met and and showing them around. I would also be very excited to visit them in their country.

About me

I’m Beyza, 23, a senior student studying Interior Architecture in Istanbul, and I also work as a model. Occasionally, I teach Pilates. What excites me the most in life is discovering the world. Whenever I find cheap tickets, I drop everything and go explore. I’ve been taking my sister along on these adventures since she is old enough. Let me tell you a bit about my sister. She’s 19 years old and a first-year Interior Architecture student in Istanbul. She’s even more excited than I am about this trip

About Me

I am Mia from Germany, I study cultural education and am a theatre maker. I also studied music for a bit however I wouldn’t call myself a musician more an enthusiast. I love love love to dance. I enjoy cooking with others a lot, so maybe that is something to do together. After finishing University I would love to do international theatre projects and maybe move abroad some day, for now I’ve lived in Belgium and Croatia a bit. :) I will be taking my first solo-adventure interrailing through Europe this summer ☀️ I’m very excited and would love to meet some nice people on the way!

About Me

Hello ☺️ I've been travelling to Asia and Australia for the past two years and I'm now coming back to Europe! I'm looking for some more adventures in Europe before settling back to Lyon, in France. The last two years I've been working and volunteering on manual jobs and have been developing skills in construction, landscaping, farming and gardening. I'm thinking of travelling through Europe with workaways and couchsurfing for the next year and developing more of my skills and know more about my home continent, Europe!

Is Istanbul worth visiting?

Couple travel experience

I have been to Istanbul for many times, and never got disappointed. This city is always alive, the people are welcoming, eventhough the poor english skills, they try to help you anyhow. I recommened to try as many food as you can. The baked corn and the simit (with nutella) my favourites from the streets. I recommend to stay at Cihangir area, really cool vibes there, so many artists there. If you like techno/melodic-techno music, you should visit zoegarden, sumahan, klein garden…:)

Group travel experience

Would absolutely recommend Istanbul as a destination to explore!! The only thing I would recommend is having a local and/or someone with you who can speak Turkish - you can get around fine without, but we were able to have a bit of a more “authentic” experience, especially when going out to eat.
