You can ask any questions, please don’t be shy. My home is a bit far from the touristic places, but if you need a place to crash you can come over:)

I've always been someone who loves pushing my limits and trying new things. One of the most thrilling experiences I've had was skydiving – the rush of jumping out of a plane and free-falling was indescribable! I've also tried bungee jumping, which was equally exciting. I have a deep appreciation for nature, so I often go camping and hiking, immersing myself in the great outdoors. Besides, I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and trying new foods, which has enriched my life with diverse experiences and perspectives. These adventures have taught me a lot about myself and the world around me, and I'm always excited for the next opportunity to try something new. I'm a 27 year old student. I'm in my 3rd year of studying Psychology and I guess I would say I'm what you would get if you mixed up a love for people and living things, an insatiable curiosity and skepticism from love of science and discovery, extra sensitiveness, some spirituality and an intuitive compass. I'm also just quite abnormal and intense in all that I feel and I enjoy this way of being. There is very little in life that is a taboo topic in my view but all of my decisions will be based on love, pragmatism and the highest good of all involved. Lastly I am full of flaws and I accept them but also work on them the best way that I possibly can.

I’m Dide, and I have a strong background in gender studies, humanitarian work, and data analysis. I’ve worked with international organizations like Save the Children and IOM - UN Migration, where I gained experience in grants management, program development, and medical assistance. Academically, I hold a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Cologne, and my research has focused on gendered language in politics. I’m passionate about feminism, psychology, and contemporary literature, and I’ve taken courses in feminist philosophy and psychoanalysis. Beyond work and academia, I love ceramics, modern dance, and arthouse cinema. I also enjoy yoga and meditation, but I prefer in-person sessions rather than online ones. Recently, I’ve been into personal reflection and journaling, which helps me stay grounded. Right now, I’m looking for opportunities in international NGOs or organizations where I can combine my expertise in gender, policy, and program development. My goal is to become a Gender Technical Advisor in the humanitarian sector.

Posted: April 14, 2025Experienced: March, 2025Istanbul is a beautiful city. There is so much to do and you will never be bored. Safety wise I would say it’s mostly safe and I’ve never felt unsafe alone at night. But there are men who can cat-call you or pressure you to come into the night clubs.

Carissa
Hi, I'm Carissa, I'm 32, and my pronouns are she/her. I love to travel and see less of the touristy things. Although I'm really big on history, architecture, learning how things are made, and food when it comes to travel. I have two cute Yorkies (hypoallergenic) at home that I love dearly, but I am allergic to animal dander. I tend to be on the quieter side, but I love getting to hear other people's stories and try to learn as much as I can wherever I go. I value meeting people, dancing, laughing, eating new things and enjoying magical moments that travel has to offer. I love talking about physical and mental health, food from both historical and socio-economic perspectives, cultural norms, and family systems. You could also find me talking about dance, movies, music, art and fashion. I love it all.
