Posted: April 23, 2024Experienced: March, 2024I was in Taipei for 3 days. The weather was a bit gloomy during Chinese New Year. We move around with MRT, bus and local train. The service is top notch. On time, cheap and clean. Food is average for me. It's People are polite and helpful if you try to communicate effectively. Taipei is the most safest city especially for solo female traveller. You can walk the street without so much worries. Accept the scooters. They are a bit reckless. I went with a group but will do it solo next time.
Posted: March 31, 2024Experienced: January, 2024Taiwan is pretty safe to woman, I think. In Taipei, there’s plenty of street light, safe to walk on street in my opinion. If you want nice and cheap local food, I’d suggest you go to Tainan. You can try some real nice traditional food there, and the price will make you eat more than you expected. If you’re staying in Taipei, I might show you around. Night markets are great, but some of them become a little too touristy. But there’s still some gem in it! For the view, the natural environment, Please go to Hualien and Taidong Mountains and Rivers will heal your soul
