Nice food recommendations in area: -Pacifico Mexican -Negishi Asian -Thai Garden etc. ask me for more Nice Rooftop Bars - Astoria - Penthouse Suite - Qirin etc. Old city is nice for shopping. Globus Store is exclusive shopping with highest level.

Lucerne is great to visit during spring and summer, especially if you enjoy the outdoors, as we are surrounded with mountains. If you are not renting a cara, which I think is quite expensive with parking here, make sure to buy a travel pass, daily or more extensões, which will let you ride most transports, except for the mountain "gondolas". Make sure to try the different brunch places in town. In the first sunday of everymonth the entries to most museums are free. Not to miss the 3 lake boat ride.

I visited Lucerne and it was beautiful, I highly recommend it. I also went up the Pilatus mountain for a half-day trip from Lucerne and it was equally beautiful there (you can go up the mountain by cable car or train).
