Maryanne
I’m Maryanne from Norway. I have done a lot of solo travelling, primarily in Latin America, but also India and different places in Europe, including my own country. I also studied in the UK for 3 years. I love meeting new people and have met so many lovely people while solo travelling and people travelling to Norway. I’m outgoing and social and love the outdoors, but also appreciate a chill day inside with a coffee or a glass of wine. I’m fluent in Norwegian and English and know some Spanish as well.

Hey, I’m a 25 yo student from Austria. Currently in Sweden for an internship.

I felt very safe as a solo female traveller in Stockholm. Highly recommend the Abba museum and fotografiska. The vasa museum was also excellent. Also the Bageri on the river was amazing but basically anywhere you can get cardamom buns is a win. In general I loved Stockholm and literally left wanting to move there!
Posted: March 30, 2024How to save money in Stockholm, Sweden ☕️ 1. Always catch the train/bus when going places unless you’re many people, in which case sharing an Uber or taxi is almost the same cost. The transport system in Stockholm is easily navigated with the “SL” app. That being said, Stockholm is a great city to put on some comfortable shoes in and simply reaching your destination by foot. 2. When buying anything food or drink wise, go to grocery stores such as Willy’s, ICA and Coop instead of 7/11 or Pressbyrån (!!). The same drink can be half the price in grocery stores. 3. Sometimes buying takeaway food is cheaper than eating at the restaurant, especially at lunch time - Tokyo Diner (my absolute favourite sushi restaurant located in Hötorgshallen in central Stockholm) is a good example of this. Just order the food and make it a picnic in the beautiful park of Humlegården!

Stockholm is such a fantastic city. If you love museums, nature, culture, that’s your place. I’ve been there during the winter so it was a hard weather for a Brazilian but I’ve got by!
