I can spend hours talking about books, documentaries, psychology, history, or why cities are designed the way they are. I love jazz, wandering around new places without a strict plan, and finding little local gems. I care about equality, kindness, and people who aren’t afraid to be themselves. If you’re curious about the world too, we’ll probably get along.

Hey! I’m Daryna — originally from Ukraine, currently living in Bratislava for the past few years. I work in European projects, but outside of work my brain is usually somewhere between planning a round-the-world trip, hiking in the mountains, learning random things about the world, or impulsively deciding to make candles, postcards, or clay art I’m the type of person who genuinely enjoys conversations with strangers. I love hearing how people think, what drives them, what they dream about, and what kind of life they’re building for themselves. I studied philosophy, so naturally I tend to overanalyze existence over coffee sometimes :)) I’m active and outdoorsy: running, basketball, swimming, hiking, freediving, calisthenics. At the same time, I also really enjoy quiet moments: playing guitar (badly), caring for plants, writing postcards, wandering cities without a plan, or sitting somewhere beautiful with music in my headphones. As a guest, I’m respectful, clean, adaptable, and genuinely interested in sharing experiences rather than just looking for a free place to sleep. I try to never go empty-handed; in my culture, it is a sign of respect. As a host/travel companion/human, I can offer conversations, random philosophical discussions, travel stories, spontaneous adventures, and homemade tea. I value sincerity, curiosity, humor, and people who are alive inside. Travelling is more like an addiction to me; I literally can't live without it. Always needed to move. A nomad to the bones. I am dreaming of full-time travelling, but now on the stage of collecting my courage and resources. I have also Couchsurfing account with references, both from hosts and travelers - https://www.couchsurfing.com/c/users/darina-mulchenko

Hi, I’m Veronika. I’m Slovak woman living in Bardejov. I love traveling and until now I was traveling only with group or boyfriend. Now I make a decision that I’m able to make it myself 🙂. All my life I’m working in NGOs and trying to make our city/country/world better place for living. I love theatre, music, active life, nature, exploring everything I can.

Bratislava is more on the smaller side, but nonetheless still a beautiful city, even if you can see most of the stuff relatively quickly. Still loved it though! Largely because I had a wonderful and lovely host that made sure Ive seen everything, while also translating for me when necessary and just being super fun to talk to. I even ended up sleeping in a church because of her the day there, which was great and will be a fun story in the future :p Bratislava is deffo worth spending a day...
