I felt safe in Tbilisi, even when being out late alone at night. I had my wits about me. There are many young people out at night, like 11 PM, even on public transportation. The khinkali is delicious, and food is cheaper than in many western countries.

Safety-wise walking in the city I felt safer than at home. In the city, even at 2-3 am. But that's because I look similar to a Georgian girl. African and Indian girls told me that they were harassed by local men. I would definitely recommend watching traditional Georgian dancing, polyphonic singing and walking in the old town. The museum of Soviet occupation is expensive but very interesting. If you're vegan- Kiwi cafe is best value for price and Shpana cafe is great for different choices of food. In comparison to western countries taxis are cheap here. But download Bolt or Yandex taxi. Métro is old and Soviet but very fast :).

I am Italian and I live in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is my home and one of the greenest capitals in Europe. I like travelling and seeing new countries through the eyes of locals. I love karaoke! I am fluent in English and Italian. My dream would be to speak Arabic but at the moment I just limit myself to listening to any Arab music! :D

Hello, 40 countries and counting.... My parents sent me to Italy at the age of 16 and I've been unable to sit still ever since. I want to see the world and immerse myself in other cultures.... and live it up while doing so.

I have visited Tbilisi during July, I stayed there for a week. I explored the town near by and the city it self. My favorite was Kazbegi which is part of the Caucasian mountain. Tbilisi is full of historic places and the views are amazing. Thé nature, food and atmosphere was amazing.
Posted: May 28, 2024I was in Tbilisi for 2 weeks. It was a great experience. The city has many great things to do. Many nice markets, cinemas with english movies, nightclubs, many restaurants and a lot of places with good wine. I stayed in a Hostel, there are many cheap options, even with „female only“ rooms. Beside the city there also is a big lake, if you want some space from the city life. I felt very save even at night time.
