Posted: May 31, 2025Singapore was the most safest country I’ve ever been. It was very beautiful very well designed. If you eat in food centers, the food is very affordable much cheaper than Europe . Of course there are luxurious restaurants to.

Singapore is very safe and very clean aswell, quite expensive for hotels but they also have affordable hostels you just have to check the ones with closed up doms for a bit of privacy. But most of them are in the central so it's easy to walk around and explore

I travelled with family to Singapore at a time that is expected to be super busy and potentially stressful for travelling - new year's eve - and I would still rate it as excellent. Even though I didn't travel solo, I think it is a great location for solo-travellers, especially beginners. This is probably because of how organised the city and it's facilities are. For example, the MRT (or public transport system) is extremely efficient and reliable. It's easy to navigate with guidance available in Malay, Chinese, English, and Tamil. I also felt extremely safe - I travelled with family, however I am sure I would feel safe if I were to travel by myself. I would definitely recommend visiting China town and Little India. I think Bugis Street can be a little crowded, nonetheless I enjoyed it. The National Museum is also a good place to visit - especially if you're curious about the history of Singapore and it's diverse population. Taking the cable cars to Sentosa Island was a fun experience and would recommend especially since you get to go on multiple cable car lines for a day pass. We also visited Universal Studios at Sentosa Island, HOWEVER, I would definitely skip it if visiting during the holiday season (or just busy times of the year). Each ride has a wait time, and we had to wait between 25 and 120 minutes for most rides. As you can imagine, we couldn't go on many :( There is a an ABUNDANCE of food options and places for people with different dietary requirements. Food is central to any culture and I truly wish we had spent more time exploring the range of cuisines available in Singapore. If visiting Sentosa Island, I would recommend Malaysian Food Street near Universal Studios. We stayed at Arcadia Hotel on Hamilton Road - great location and budget-friendly. The hotel staff were very welcoming and our rooms were made up every day. Little India is about a 15 minute walk away and there were plenty of food options close by. There were also two MRT stations close to the hotel (2-3 minute walk) which meant it was easy for us to travel by train throughout our stay. I think it helps to locate the stations close to the hotel as soon as you arrive as it will make travel to and from the hotel stress-free. Bus service is also reliable across the island. We also purchased NETS cards - a prepaid debit card used widely by locals in Singapore - that helped to control our spending. It can be used for travel by train and bus, and also when purchasing in all kinds of shops. MRT stations also have kiosks where you can top up the card by using cash or bank card. This is a great option to manage spending, especially if visiting for a longer period.

very safe one of the safest countries ever. the laws are super strict and ppl are always scared of the government so no one breaks any rules. it’s sort of like a utopia in terms of safety really because this type of safety doesn’t exist anywhere else which can be a good and bad thing at the same time

One of the safest countries I’ve ever been to, touchwood. Walking outside at 2am feels perfectly normal. The last mrt runs at 12am and there’s nothing odd about being the last one on the train. Locals are friendly and usually mind their own business
