Cyprus is a beautiful country with a lot of different amazing cultural influences and great food. The prices are pretty low in the smaller towns and high in touristy areas(like any other country too). The weather, water and beach was amazing. I did feel safe most of the time since I always traveled in a bigger group, there was some street harassment going on though. Overall a really nice place, there is a lot of trash on the roadside and just in general lying around in nature which kind of sucks though(and is probably mostly the fault of tourism). Also a lot of strays(I don't mind cause most of them were really friendly and I like animals) but definitely not everyones cup of tea ig.

In February, there are very few people in Cyprus, so sometimes you feel like you are in an abandoned city. The weather in February is still warm, there is no heat but it is the perfect time for walking and admiring nature. There are beautiful cliffs in Cyprus which are a bit far from the city where we lived (aya napa) but can be easily reached by bus. I highly recommend visiting the capital of Cyprus because it is the only capital that is divided into two parts - Turkish and Cypriot. I felt like I was in two different countries
Posted: July 23, 2024I felt safe only with other people I recommend doing tattoos there, because they are very cheap in the north There are a few good restaurants in Nicosia, and they are quite cheap I spent around 1800€ in a month I was staying at an animal sanctuary, because i had my internship there Travelling in north cyprus is really difficult, you can only travel with taxi and it’s really expensive
Posted: April 18, 2024Spent 4 days in Cyprus as a solo female traveller. Sadly didn’t have time to visit anything other than Limassol and Paphos. Generally inexpensive, you can pay for most things with card. Probably due to the towns I went to and the time of year I didnt find myself having a whole lot to do and see. Feel like its better as either a family vacation spot or if you like to party. Its pretty safe, I just wouldnt go out alone at night, I went out with some friends I met at my hostels - really recommend staying at hostels if youre going alone, plenty good ones

Loved Cyprus went solo as I went to a wedding but stayed longer as I wanted to explore and I had a amazing time, more on the pricey side once your there but so many activities and places to eat, and things to see. I felt save majority of the time but I did have one man who took an interest in me which made me feel a bit uneasy but other than that it was a safe place
Posted: November 25, 2023I felt very safe there, people were friendly, and I easily reached most of the places that interested me by bus. I also walked a lot. I was there in May and I highly recommend visiting Cyprus.

Great locals, delicious food, limited local transportation on the island with difficult navigation. Ayia Napa has beautiful beaches, sand, and the sea as far as the eye can see. You should visit the fortress on the Larnaca promenade, sculpture park, and viewpoint in Ayia Napa. There are a lot of tourists, mostly families (I went off-season). As for prices, a great lunch for two in taverns on the promenade (from salad to a glass of wine) is around 40 euros. I'm definitely coming back to enjoy the beach during the season 🤗🤗.
Posted: April 26, 2023Experienced: February, 2023I was in Cyprus by myself and I really enjoyed it there. I rented a car and visited Nea Pafos (a UNESCO Heritage Site - a whole day for sightseeing), the birthplace of Aphrodite (beach) and enjoyed the sea around me and the pool at my accommodation. I definitely recommend Nea Pafos!
Posted: February 8, 2023My first solo trip was to Cyprus and I loved it. I flew to Larnaca, rented a car (the island is small, so if you have a car, you can see a lot in a short time) and stayed on both coasts, in Paphos and Paralimni. Beautiful country. The nicest people. Great food. I was there in the summer and it was hot (sunscreen and water were essential).
Posted: December 3, 2022Travel plan: 2 days: Ayia Napa 1 day: Larnaka 2 days: Limassol 2 days: Pafos 1 day: Nicosia Safety: I felt very safe. Recommendations: Cyprus is very small, and a significant part of the population speaks English.

Very safe , i have been living here for 3 years nothing serious has happened to me , i usually go out at night i feel pretty safe around and very protected comparing to other countries i have been too
Posted: April 17, 2025I came here a long time ago, and then I feel here in North Cyprus 100% safe all time. After 2022 here came to many new people, new immigrants, and now it 90%. It’s really safe here, but of course, you never know, cause we live in a man’s world
