Martinique, Solo travel

I travel alone primarily when I work. In Martinique, I work as a diving instructor. It's a lovely island which offers the pleasures of water and the tropical mountain that I both enjoy. The people are welcoming. And the locals, after the first few moments, are very smiling and benevolent.

Is Martinique safe for women?

Fort-de-France

I love Martinique very much, but it is hard to be a woman on this island. Personally, what bothers me most is the street harassment that I encounter almost every day. I feel physically safe, but I experience psychological discomfort due to suggestions and comments on the street.
