beautiful city, amazing people and culture, the best food, super fun nightlife, stunning nature ranging from snowy mountains over pretty beaches to hystorical towns. men still suck and I wouldnt recommend walking alone at night, generally I did feel safe though (or as safe as a woman can feel in any big city).
Posted: January 10, 2025Experienced: June, 2016I have been in Beirut for two weeks and it is an amazing time. This city is full of energy, with lots of things to do, bars, clubs, parties, shops and restaurants. People here are very kind. I felt very safe.
Posted: August 1, 2023I went to Beirut alone in October of last year and felt safe the entire time. Beirut is a very diverse, lively city with old neighborhoods, but also with a huge amount of new investments and a myriad of great bars and restaurants that are opening there. Beirut was my base, from where I made day trips to Tripoli, Sidon and Tyre on local buses. I loved it and definitely want to go there again.
Posted: July 31, 2023I was in Lebanon for 5 days and had a good time as a solo traveler. Lebanon is a diverse and hospitable country. The people are friendly and welcomed me everywhere I went. Most people speak English. I hired drivers to take me to places such as Byblos, Baalbek, and Beit ed-Dine palace. They were respectful, professional, and well-informed drivers.
Posted: May 9, 2023I was there in November and felt safe, I would always like to go back. The Lebanese are friendly and I just hope that a solution is found for all the problems they are struggling with. I recommend taking cash with you and not using a credit card, as you will be cheated on the exchange rate.

It's safe to walk around everyone is friendly and nice, there are just certain tiny streets tiny alleys you'd want to be careful, especially at night and especially near pubs and clubs. But that's everywhere really. It's safe but always be on the look out for the just in case
