i'll never forget Hong Kong! an incredible number of old and unusual little shops, so many smells in the mongkok area, a million people and not a single one will even accidentally bump into you the whole time!! shopping is definitely what this city is about. It feels like you can find absolutely everything there. Amazing people even though their english isn’t great, they will always try to help. I will come back there 100%

It was my first solo trip as a 19 year old. I’ve always dreamed of traveling internationally but I’m glad I was able to do it all alone. The food was nice and they have a filipino culture there. Missed home :)

Had the most amazing time in Hong Kong , I met Anna through the Hong Kong group, and she tour guided me around with her friends, I felt so welcomed and so safe. And did a day trip to Macau with her, and she introduced me to a local friend from Macau who also tour guided us there. I'd definitely visit HK again just to see them again.
Posted: December 2, 2025Experienced: October, 2025It was safe but just need to be wary about bus schedules or else it's difficult to go home. It was a culture shock for me on how fast paced hong kong was. I especially loved going to lantau island because it was laid back and i can enjoy the views. Hong kong's custard bun and tea was so goood. I'd go back for it.

hong kong is a crowd city with lots of building and people. but we have cool landscapes and well developed public transportation. food is delicious but somehow is not cheap but affordable. hope you enjoy it.
Posted: March 25, 2026Hong Kong is a very safe place. Women can walk alone at night and I have never experienced any type of harassment there. Nothing has ever been stolen even when personal items have been left on the beach.

Hong Kong is very safe, especially for female travelers. generally, you could walk out in the street at night and have no worries. But be careful in the clubbing districts such as lan kwai fong, shady stuff happens from time to time.

Hong Kong is a pretty safe city! I go out at night (to LKF, Wan Chai) and I’ve never had issues or felt unsafe on the street or the metro. Obviously be careful when you’re inside the bars/clubs, I’d say that’s the only time I’ve felt a little uncomfortable sometimes, but outside it’s pretty good just be smart.
