It was one of my best trips I’ve taken in my life, so glad Bhutan was my first International. Indeed, the country lives up to its tagline “country of happiness”. Every place is maintained so well and clean plus the country does take it’s tourism so strict - one cannot explore without a licensed guide. I went with a group of strangers via a travel company from India and truly has been one of the best experiences I could have had.

I did a 4 week study abroad at The College of Natural Resources in Bhutan. The landscape was incredibly beautiful and majority of it completely untouched by humans. Buddhism is a huge part of the culture here. Everyone was very welcoming of foreigners although the young men seemed very very shy and nervous around all women. Stay options are very cheap and beautiful around punakha. Laidback life and routine can be observed even in the capital Thimphu. Felt generally very safe around. My budget was 38k for a 10 day trip which included food stay and travelling around.

I visited Bhutan for a short trip. It is beautiful and safe, and the locals have made every effort to preserve their culture. From my experience, Bhutan is a well-organized, clean, and peaceful country.

I visited Bhutan in 2019 and it was amazing. It was also the most extraordinary travel experience I have ever had. I felt very safe. I traveled there alone, but I always had a guide and a driver with me. I want to go back and see more.

If you ever get the chance to visit Bhutan - do it! The long flight is definitely worth it. Not too many tourists visit and you can really get a glimpse of their culture. People from Bhutan are extremely polite and friendly. They will spoil you very much when you go visit

We travelled as two women travellers. We had hired an taxi and we felt completely safe in the country. We never felt threatened or unsafe The food was yummy . all the yummy Datshi(Food made with Yak cheese) especially Emma Datshi which is made with chillies and cheese is my favourite. Of all the places , my favourite was our punakha stay away from the chaos . It's a beautiful place.
