I’ve been living in Kigali for about 2 years. Grew up in North Carolina, USA. Love exploring!
Irakoze
I’m Irakoze Nice Luna I’m a joyful soul who loves God, nature, and all the beauty He created. I’m a university student studying for a Bachelor of Science in Travel and Tourism Management, and my dream is to become a tour guide so I can travel the world and share the wonders of creation with others. I love dancing, cooking, and exploring new places especially where I can feel God’s peace in the heart of Mother Nature. People say I’m the funny one in the group, always bringing laughter and good vibes. I’m also a Christian and a Bible content creator on Instagram, sharing God’s love, light, and truth with every post. Being around me means adventure, joy, deep conversations, and a sprinkle of heaven everywhere we go
I felt safe in Kigali, more so than in any other large city. I noticed that people look out of understandable curiosity, as tourism there is still relatively new. I just looked back at them, said hello and moved on. Men can be annoying, but I never felt unsafe. I travelled around the city by motorcycle taxis and had no problems.
Posted: December 25, 2023It’s a great city with a few nice places to enjoy art. There are some great cafes like the chess cafe. I really enjoyed the Niyo Arts Gallery, where you can enjoy art as well as food and drinks. Another recommendation would be the Kimironko market. You can get anything here! From food, to decorations, to jewelry. Really busy but pretty amazing :)
