Ariadna
Fajardo
Hola! My name’s Ariadna, but everyone calls me Ari—you can too 😉. I’m here because I want to travel solo, but I’d love to meet some girlies to hang out with or maybe even stay with. I’ve always been a bit shy, but I’m ready to step out of that and make some memories.

San Juan
Hey! I’m the kind of person who once flew a small plane, traveled solo to Argentina at 12, and seriously considered becoming a mermaid. I speak English and Spanish, enjoy spontaneous adventures, and somehow always end up organizing things wherever I go. I’m calm and observant, but love being surrounded by energy—think street festivals, open-air markets, or lively local spots. I’m always curious and open to new experiences.

I felt completely safe in Puerto Rico. I stayed in the city where Ubers are easily accessible. I can speak on the public transportation but I spoke with someone who said it was fairly easy to navigate from the city to old San Juan. I drove while I was out there as well and although I was nervous at first, it wasn’t bad at all.

Most of the city is very safe. Areas like Calle Loíza and La Placita late at night have lots of people around and are well lit. I walk at night in the city center all the time. There are occasional headlines of random violence in the news, but I don't personally know anyone who has been involved.

Overall, yes, is generally safe. There’s a strong sense of community. That said, like anywhere, safety can vary by how you move through spaces and time. Just stay aware, like you would in any urban setting.
