Managua, the capital city of the glorious Central American nation of Nicaragua, is beautifully nestled on the southwestern tip of Lake Managua. The city's vibrant culture, their rich history, and splendid landmarks make Managua a remarkable travel destination. Managua is home to sites such as the Tiscapa Lagoon Natural Reserve where a silhouette of the revolutionary general Sandino overlooks the city, the Revolution Square with grandiose monuments showcasing Nicaraguan history, and the Catedral de Santiago, a symbolic architectural structure destroyed in an earthquake but kept for its history. More than just a location, Managua is a sensory adventure, with lively local markets adopting a flurry of colors and aromas, and the cool, calming presence of pristine blue waters and volcanic rock adding to the city's allure.

There could be crime anywhere but only happend to me a few times without even realizing it. I wasn't attacked or anything, just robbed. My phone was stolen 3 times on the bus when it was full, I couldn't notice it. Besides that I haven't experienced anything traumatic.
