Is Sandakan safe for women?
Is safe in terms of no one will hassle you. Locals are quite in their own businesses that don’t even bother to say hi. Tons of illegal immigrants from Philippine that you may see them sleeping on the streets; kids asking for money but they’re harmless. No physical contact if that’s what you’re worried about.
