SEOUL is very safe place to enjoy night time. But beware of some of the drunk old people! Some of them might make you feel threatened by their attitude toward foreigners. There are no pickpockets and robbery, free to go out without any phone straps. People may stare at you if you are not in a popular tourist site just because you are a foreigner, but don’t be afraid! They mostly try their best to help if you reach out.

Posted: August 10, 2025As a Black woman traveling solo in Korea, I felt genuinely safe. I never worried about having my phone out or watching my bag, even late at night. I went clubbing alone multiple times—no aggressive guys hitting on me, no one trying to take advantage. Once, I even blacked out from drinking, and instead of anything bad happening, people just helped me get to the nearest police station where I was safe and looked after. Overall, Korea felt respectful and secure, even in busy nightlife areas.
Posted: July 8, 2025It is famous for good social security, but not exactly right for women. But if you stay around public place, there's not much to worry about. And many places are open and bright until late night. Many womens are girl's girl, so if you are confused or feel unsafe, don't hesitate to ask for help from your around. We don't really have specific dangerous place.

Seoul is very safe city to travel and to live. I can walk streets alone in any time. Many restaurants are still open at late night. You can enjoy a picnic along the Han-river at night. If you feel unsafe, just go in to convenience stores which are in every streets and they are open for 24hours.

I felt safe in Seoul, food was delicious and getting around the city with metro was really easy. Prices were moderate. It was a great experience, we did basic sightseeing with palaces and popular areas like Gangnam.
