Is Qatar Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Qatar is generally a safe destination for solo female travelers. The country has low rates of crime and the locals are usually helpful and respectful. However, remember, Qatar is a conservative Muslim country, so it's essential to respect the local customs, dress modestly, especially when visiting religious sites. It's advisable to avoid wandering alone late at night in less crowded or unfamiliar areas. In case of any emergency, the local police are prompt and responsive. On the whole, with common sense and respect for local customs, you should feel comfortable and safe in Qatar.

Very small and safe city, event at nights. We’re walking most of the time so it was really hot. People are friendly and helpful, sightseeings are located nearby so it is easy to find them. Will recommend for visiting

It was nice to see the country - there’s both a historical part and modern life, beaches and desert. I spent a week in Doha, and when I was leaving, I realized I needed a few more days. My impressions were very positive

Doha, Family travel

I felt very very safe. The city was so clean too. I went during the world cup and they hosted such a big crowd in such an amazing manner. The accommodation and food both was very expensive however im sure you can get cheap eats if you research a bit. I ubered around but everybody was so respectful and accessible

I love Qatar. It's very safe for solo travel. Lots of culture and food so it's suitable for all travelers. I decided to stay here for a month. Feeling very blessed. Taxi is also relatively cheap for a developed country.

Extremely safe! Safest I've ever felt anywhere. - Must-do: Arabic food, Vendome Mall, The Pearl, Katara, QNL. - Quite expensive, but worth all the money. - I can't comment on accommodation as I had a private one. - Public transport is super useful, especially he metro rail. - Uber or other ride-hailing services are also easily available.

Doha, Solo travel

It was a fun experience I did feel safe The activities there are mostly in malls as it's very hot and humid, but I was told that the weather is nicer in January I stayed with a family friend, and that was a blessing The good but it depends on the cusine there's a wide variety of cuisines and cultures in Qatar Travel was mostly via Uber. You can't really walk anywhere Fun activities I did: visiting the National Museum. It was amazing. I highly recommend trying it out. I don't remember...

In doha I felt very safe, my stay was short so I didn’t get to do much but I’m sure there are so many cool things to visit or do. One of my favourites sights was alhazm mall it had a very nice architecture, with a bit pricy shops. However the airport was a journey itself, it was VERY long, nothing to be scared of tho, good luck!!

Doha is a beautiful country with perfect architecture! Very kind and responsive people, so I didn’t feel fear or danger for a minute. I recommend visiting the The Pearl Island and Al Maha Island. Also go to Souq Waqif, there you can find souvenirs, clothing stores and etc. The weather is humid and hot, so I immediately bought myself an abaya, because it’s impossible to walk in jeans :)

Doha, Solo travel

I was there a few months ago, and it is one of the few places where I didn't feel safe. Cars stopping non-stop, offering me rides or trips to the Safari, one followed me for so long until I hid in a café, men in shops offering to pay for me and then chatting me up at the entrance. Never again.

Doha is one of the few cities that i feel completely safe in. I'm never worried about someone breaking into my house, someone stealing things in public, i don't even lock the car after parking. I go out for walks, mostly late at night andi never had a single incident

Qatar

Qatar is one of the safest countries you could visit. There are cameras everywhere, and the police are extremely polite and respectful. To feel more comfortable, do not wear revealing clothes, only as a respect to their culture.

Extremely safe I have very minimal issues. I prefer to stay in areas where there are more expats. Even though it’s a safe country, the men out here unfortunately think all foreign women engage in SW. Don’t be afraid to tell them off and report them ! It’s none of their business where you live/stay or even your nationality because they do discriminate if they think your passport are from certain countries
