Tricky question haha! But it may sound unsafe in the news but Lebanon is more than a country its a lifestyle and a huge welcoming community. Coming from a girl who've experienced and lived a-lot here I can consider Lebanon to be a safe place where everyone where everyone would run to help a girl out. Lebanon is an experience that everyone should at least live once in their lifetime, you could feel directly at home through our gorgeous and generous people living here.
Posted: March 15, 2025Its safe in terms no one will try to pickpocket or steal your things but as a woman there are many catcalls or maybe it can reach to the point of getting sexually harassed or assaulted specially if ur foreigner and dont know the language but in general locals are so kind and welcoming

It's very safe. It's a small community where all people know each other and help each other. You can find everything you want from shops to gyms to pharmacies etc. It's very close from Saida city the capital of south of Lebanon where you will be connected to other cities in Lebanon

It really depends on the areas. In general Lebanon is a safe and open country. Areas like Mar Mkhayel , gemayze and achrafieh in Beirut are relatively safe for women. Some areas in Lebanon are conservative and women need to watch out how to dress when there may apply to neighborhoods like Tarik Jadidi and Dahieh.

Those who’ve been to Beirut (luckier are those who explored Lebanon entirely) leave in love. Safety isn’t a major concern, despite the few headlines one would stumble upon when googling any destination. Foreign women are better off making a Lebanese friend (still residing here would be more accurate) before arriving here. Advice on prices, transport systems, where to NOT go alone, and what places to not miss. Transport - Taxis are better than any other option (“Service” means a shared cab; “Taxi” means private taxi, including Uber & Bolt). Behavior - Being nice and kind is good of course, but don’t be naive. People can be cunning, and the economic situation can lead them to increase prices when foreigners are the customers. I’ve lived in Beirut all my life and walked most of its streets at odd times. While I always keep an eye out, I mostly feel comfortable.
Posted: December 30, 2024I live in a town in Mount Lebanon called Qortadah, it is a very safe place, it is a small town where everyone knows everyone. It is 20 min from the city by car, but no public transport available in the town.
Posted: December 30, 2024Lebanon is a safe country. There are very few and known areas where it is best not to wander especially at night (like everywhere else in the world). But overall it is a safe place for solo female travelers.

Beirut is a very chill area, and people rarely get in your way unless provoked. Tourists are very highly respected. However, everyone needs to be aware of specific streets and routes where it is less safe to spend time alone or at night.
Posted: December 26, 2024barring international attacks i've never really felt unsafe there ; i know the culture is definitely misogynistic and judgemental so there's wandering eyes but there's also a level of respect and decency that has made me always feel secure in my safety
Posted: December 25, 2024I'd definitely not recommend walking alone at night, I'd almost always be harassed if I was walking alone even (or especially) if it was in a busy area like Mar Mkhayel/Hamra. During the day it's definitely safer but you'd still get approached by beggars/scammers/random people asking for money, they're mostly harmless if you choose to ignore them; some of them are actually really sweet and honest people who were just unlucky in life though, definitely be cautious still. With public transportation, some people may take advantage of foreigners and overcharge them, especially with taxis. With busses and mini busses I'm mostly worried about being robbed or pickpocketed but I'd say it's generally safe if caution is exercised; their passage/stops are also not well defined, you might need some help. As someone who's lived in Beirut my whole life, I love being here even with everything going on. People here are just so approachable and sweet, and its super easy to make friends.

beautiful city, amazing people and culture, the best food, super fun nightlife, stunning nature ranging from snowy mountains over pretty beaches to hystorical towns. men still suck and I wouldnt recommend walking alone at night, generally I did feel safe though (or as safe as a woman can feel in any big city).
Posted: January 10, 2025Experienced: June, 2016I have been in Beirut for two weeks and it is an amazing time. This city is full of energy, with lots of things to do, bars, clubs, parties, shops and restaurants. People here are very kind. I felt very safe.

Hey ladies! My name is Tala, I'm 31. I love traveling, languages and adventures! Looking for a safe space for a solo traveler and looking forward to meet other lovely ladies in my hometown or anywhere around the world 😊

I'm super into marketing and the business world especially where it overlaps with tech and AI. I love seeing how creativity and strategy come together, and I'm always curious about new ways to make things better, smarter, or more meaningful. At the same time, I'm not really into the typical corporate grind. I’d rather carve out my own path, one that feels more aligned with who I am. I spend my time doing things I love like singing, drawing, journaling, taking photos, hiking, and reading books that help me grow. I'm always looking for inspiration, whether it’s in nature, a new idea, or just a quiet moment to reflect.
