You just need to keep your things close and know which places not to go, specially at night. It’s preferable not to go out alone, but it’s actually not as unsafe as most people would think. Also taxi drivers sometimes try to charge extra if they think you’re a foreigner. 🙈

In Colombia this is one of the safest citys. You can go around in the north part without worries but the street harrasment is awful. Is too much. But at least is just words and sounds. About robbery, all around colombia is dangerous, specially in poor neighbours, so always keep your phone in your bag. Dont show laptops in the streets, try to dont take technology with you everywhere.
Posted: January 3, 2025It's not paradise, but if you know where to be and places to avoid you'll be okay. It is a beautiful city with warm people. Sadly mans are not the ideal, but you'll find a home in here and it's near to the beach.
Posted: December 25, 2024Barranquilla is a great place, the people are nice and very happy, you can dance and the food is amazing. Sadly the insecurity is real and the people mostly women feel unprotected. You need to be careful where you go, and always takes uber or indriver, and give this inform to someone close to you.
