How safe is Bolivia?

La Paz

This city is very beautiful, especially in the rainy season when everything greens up, especially downtown and the south zone are known for being safe areas with lots of green areas. Variety of places to visit, cultural activities to visit, unique restaurants and beautiful scenery, it is generally very safe, there are danger zones but that is usually by the eyebrow of the high or some distant neighborhoods in the center of the city the others are comfortable and beautiful to walk and explore and people can be very collaborative and friendly.

Bolivia

My city is very peaceful, full of many activities and culture. For me, it is the safest city I know, and I've lived in other countries and didn't feel as safe. We have beautiful landscapes and many activities.

Santa Cruz De La Sierra

Santa Cruz de la Sierra is generally safe, especially in central areas, but like any city, caution is key. Stick to well-lit places, avoid walking alone at night, and use trusted transportation services.

La Paz

It depends on the zone. For example El Alto it is definitely not a safe place, I wouldn't be walking alone nor at noon nor at night. Sopocachi is the central part and it's pretty safe. I live in the south zone, the safest of all zones.

Bolivia, Family travel

I was travelling with my family, I was 11 and it was a country where m'y father grew up, so I was in a pretty safe surrounding. I'll highly recommend to taste salteñas, or at least empañadas. Also, eating granadillas on a market place is essential! If you can, go see the lake Titicaca, it's an amazing view, and the best is to stay a night on one of the lake's islands like la Isla del sol.

Santa Cruz, Solo travel

I stayed in a backpacker, airbnb near downtown, city it has not much attractions. The botanic garden was quite good and the main attraction is without doubt EL FUERTE pre Inca construction related to Tiahuanaco. Santa Cruz is completely different from the rest of Bolivia, it is a coast style city in the mountain.
