How safe is Minsk?

i’d call minsk mostly a safe place for women, as the crime rate there is very low. although i’d recommend staying in centre and not going far from it or to suburbs as, obviously, there you might not have an opportunity to escape an unwanted attention from men. but i believe that’s how it is pretty much everywhere all around the world, so yeah. people in minsk are mostly polite and decent, so overall, there’s nothing to worry about.

It’s very saved city, as Belarus in general. You can walk during the night and feel very saved. People are friendly and there’s no street robbery. The one thing you should know- don’t cross the road on the red light even if there’s no cars

Belarus is a safe place for women. People are very polite and helpful. Men are always men. Of course it is not super safe if you walk in the total dark not in the centre of the city or just main streets, but like in every country i think :)

Minsk is a pretty safe city for women travelling alone. There are some city parts that are not that friendly, however, they are still pretty safe. Follow basic safety rules and it will be ok. Moreover, I do believe that people here are really helping.

You can safely walk around the city at night. There are drunk men sometimes, but you can just avoid them, and everything will be fine. Almost all streets are lit at night, and I've never encountered any robbery during the day or night.

It’s okay. For real. Specially if you’re not alone. But I’m okay. It’s more an anxiety thing for me:) I walk alone in 4am after bar to home in the summer. But the walk itself like 20 min. Just know that some places aren’t for good girls in men opinion. Like clubs, bar. But I feel safe because there are bodyguards.

Family travel

Minsk seems very safe to me, and for women solo travels as well! good food, nice people, language barrier could be a little of a problem, but younger generation know some English, I'm recommending you to visit Асмалоўка area, I personally think it's the most touching place of the city

Couple travel

Minsk is a great city! It’s clean, beautiful, and safe. The food is delicious, the people are friendly, and the climate is mild. Nyamiha and the Minsk Hero City Obelisk are must-visit spots. We ate at local cafés and bought food from supermarkets — it was cheap and tasty. We stayed at Urban Hostel — highly recommended!
