My name is Ilef, I’m 20 years old, and I’m passionate about creativity, nature, and community work. I enjoy painting, planting, gardening, writing, and organizing, and I’m a strong communicator. I speak English and Arabic fluently, have a good level of French and Italian, and I’m currently learning Turkish. I went to Tunisia with a friend of mine and we stayed mostly in Bizerte, but also in Zarzis, so more in the South for a week. The weather is really nice, it is cheap, and the women are very friendly. The men in the opposite, are catcalling you all the time and looking at you as if they have never seen a woman, even if we always have unrevealing clothes! After some time, you get used to it, but inthe beginning it is very strange. The water is nice, but the beaches are not cleaned outside of the season so they are really dirty with dead animals, plants and rubbish. Same with the monuments, but without the trash everywhere, it is really beautiful!

I was doing a volunteer project for 6 weeks in Sfax. I actually felt safe. People were nice, and I wasn't scammed much, especially compared to more touristic cities in Tunesia. If you want to do a trip around Tunesia it is not really worth it but I can absolutely recommend the Medina in Sfax, it is very beautiful and very cheap.
