Singapore was the most safest country I’ve ever been. It was very beautiful very well designed. If you eat in food centers, the food is very affordable much cheaper than Europe . Of course there are luxurious restaurants to.

Singapore is very safe and very clean aswell, quite expensive for hotels but they also have affordable hostels you just have to check the ones with closed up doms for a bit of privacy. But most of them are in the central so it's easy to walk around and explore
Posted: May 2, 2025Experienced: March, 2025Good public transport. Food is also good. Everything is fast paced. The people are not very friendly though. Not much to do in Woodlands, but every other city can be reached via MRT, and the MRT ride is cheap.
Posted: April 20, 2025Singapore is bit expensive, but its developed and good country to explore. Its totally safe. Food was amazing also can find halal food there. But weather is not there, always have high levels of humidity.

I travelled with family to Singapore at a time that is expected to be super busy and potentially stressful for travelling - new year's eve - and I would still rate it as excellent. Even though I didn't travel solo, I think it is a great location for solo-travellers, especially beginners. This is probably because of how organised the city and it's facilities are. For example, the MRT (or public transport system) is extremely efficient and reliable. It's easy to navigate with guidance available in Malay, Chinese, English, and Tamil. I also felt extremely safe - I travelled with family, however I am sure I would feel safe if I were to travel by myself. I would definitely recommend visiting China town and Little India. I think Bugis Street can be a little crowded, nonetheless I enjoyed it. The National Museum is also a good place to visit - especially if you're curious about the history of Singapore and it's diverse population. Taking the cable cars to Sentosa Island was a fun experience and would recommend especially since you get to go on multiple cable car lines for a day pass. We also visited Universal Studios at Sentosa Island, HOWEVER, I would definitely skip it if visiting during the holiday season (or just busy times of the year). Each ride has a wait time, and we had to wait between 25 and 120 minutes for most rides. As you can imagine, we couldn't go on many :( There is a an ABUNDANCE of food options and places for people with different dietary requirements. Food is central to any culture and I truly wish we had spent more time exploring the range of cuisines available in Singapore. If visiting Sentosa Island, I would recommend Malaysian Food Street near Universal Studios. We stayed at Arcadia Hotel on Hamilton Road - great location and budget-friendly. The hotel staff were very welcoming and our rooms were made up every day. Little India is about a 15 minute walk away and there were plenty of food options close by. There were also two MRT stations close to the hotel (2-3 minute walk) which meant it was easy for us to travel by train throughout our stay. I think it helps to locate the stations close to the hotel as soon as you arrive as it will make travel to and from the hotel stress-free. Bus service is also reliable across the island. We also purchased NETS cards - a prepaid debit card used widely by locals in Singapore - that helped to control our spending. It can be used for travel by train and bus, and also when purchasing in all kinds of shops. MRT stations also have kiosks where you can top up the card by using cash or bank card. This is a great option to manage spending, especially if visiting for a longer period.

Singapore was a great experience ✨ the architecture, the Sentosa Island, Universal Studios, little India, Chinatown and all those street food trip 9 out of 10 the only problem was it is so expensive 💵 everything from food to clothes to cab 🚕 to club 🎉.It’s on the expensive side, but I totally understand why it is like that because such a small country it’s such beautiful architecture greenery economy comes with some Taxes on everything
Posted: December 31, 2024I always felt extremely safe while solo traveling in Singapore. I used their public transportation to get around most of the time, which was terrific and easy to navigate. I also used Grab a few times. The treetop walk was breathtaking, a must see! It’s a more expensive place than nearby countries, but the infrastructure was beautiful and I never once felt uneasy or unsafe. Food at hawker centers was delicious and very affordable. People generally mind their own business, but were kind and friendly if I had a question or needed help. I plan to go back!
Posted: September 15, 2024Gardens by the bay is a must visit! Beautiful and special architecture and we saw free roaming lizards and monkeys in the palm of the world. Most of the food we had in Singapore are expensive and average. Malaysia has better and cheaper ones! Durian ice-cream in co-nut-ink was our favourite. Weather was unbearably hot and humid. I got heat rash when there

I was in Singapore for two nights and felt safe the whole time. The Marina was amazing to wander round and soak up the buildings and Harbour, and the Gardens by the Bay were a standout. I'd really recommend these, they're beautiful. The view from the top of the tower building is awesome too although I'd recommend going at night as the bar doesn't open during off peak times. All in all, was a great stop over option and two nights was enough to explore the city.
Posted: August 12, 2024Experienced: June, 2024My experience in singapore was GREAT! I felt very safe and the people are extremely nice there as well. You meet a lot of local people and the food was AMAZING. Me and my family went to this Turkish restaurant and it was a 10/10! I recommend to definitely go to the gardens of the bay because it was such an amazing experience and it was absolutely beautiful. I also recommend to go on top of the Marina Bay Sands hotel with the boat and see the sunset, you won’t regret it.

Extremely safe, you can take public transport home after midnight, leave your belongings at your table while you order food (at your own risk). Generally extremely safe. Would recommend for female travelers, no issues at all. However, basic survival wits are advised.

It so safe you can stand under a lamp post, call the police, read the number and they will know where are you. It is so safe you can just walk around in shorts in the middle of the night after supper

Local and based in Singapore 🇸🇬 Took a gap year after graduating from poly to travel! I work part time and take off once I see a sale flight haha I stay in Central and I'm able to host for 2-3 nights if you're willing to stay in the same room as me! (Bunk bed) Probably won't be able to show you around town, but I can show you the neighbourhood cats in the area! I typically travel to Japan(longer trips) and Thailand (short spa trips) every year ( ・ω・) Would like to find someone to travel to Antartica and Egypt with ~ and maybe North Korea while we're at it

Hi all, I’m a 19 years old girl who loves sailing, nature and traveling. In July I’m going backpacking in south east Asia, working my way through Vietnam, Cambodja, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore. Don’t hesitate to write to me if you’d like a travel buddy yourself or just would like to meet up :)
