Ireland is generally safe for solo female travellers. The country is known for its friendly locals and welcoming atmosphere, and the crime rate is low. Women should still take the usual precautions when travelling alone, such as avoiding walking alone at night and being aware of their surroundings.

I went to Ireland solo and felt totally safe. It was easy to get around and I had a great time. I rented a car and drove all over the country. Giants Causeway, Aran Island, Cliffs of Moher, and Dromoland Castle were a few of my favorites.
Posted: July 31, 2023I loved Kinsale, Cork, Galway, Cliffs of Moher, Dingle, Ring of Kerry, and Ring of Brear. I did have a car and drove it all. I loved that part of the world and felt very safe.
Posted: April 30, 2023I did a solo trip over all of Ireland last year and never felt unsafe. Every person I met there was incredibly sweet and helpful.
Posted: April 15, 2023Ireland can be a safe destination for solo female travelers, but it's important to take some precautions to ensure your safety. Here are some safety tips for solo female travelers in Ireland:
Before travelling to Ireland, make sure to research the area you are visiting. Learn about the culture, customs, and safety measures in place.
When travelling alone, it is important to stay in well-lit areas. Avoid dark alleys and streets, and stick to main roads and tourist areas.
Always be aware of your surroundings and trust your instincts. If something doesnโt feel right, leave the area immediately.
Carrying large amounts of cash can make you a target for theft. Instead, use a credit or debit card to pay for items.
Avoid wearing or carrying expensive items such as jewelry or electronics. This can make you a target for theft.
Never accept rides from strangers, even if they seem friendly. It is best to take public transportation or a taxi.
Before travelling, let someone know where you are going and when you plan to return. This will help ensure your safety.
Carrying a whistle can be a great way to alert people if you are in danger.
Make sure to stay in contact with family and friends while travelling. This will help ensure your safety.
Above all, trust your instincts. If something doesnโt feel right, leave the area immediately.

I am off on a 5-day trip to Ireland. If anyone has an itinerary to share would be great. I plan to spend 2 days in Dublin exploring as much as I can on foot, 1 day on a cliff of Moher tour, 1 day Kilkenny tour, and possibly 1 day going to Belfast. Has anyone done the Belfast tour? Do you recommend it? Is Kilkenny with the day trip? Any other must-see things to do or see that are off the beaten ...
Posted: May 20, 2023My friend and I will be going to Ireland for 3-4 days in May and are wanting to do day trips out of Dublin so we don't have to rent a car. What are your favorite tours you've done around Ireland and who did you book them through?
