Is Ulaanbaatar Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

It's safe enough to travel. It doesn't really have thieves to point a gun at you and stab you. But there will be scammers, pickpocketers also over chargers. I'd reccomend to visit Mongolia with a guide or a local friend in mind.

The central area of Ulaanbaatar is pretty safe for tourists, but just in case always take care of your belongings. The ger areas and the Narantuul market area can be a little uncomfortable during the night times.

The center of the city is a very safe place but if you visit the not very modernized places around ulaanbaatar i think it will be a little bit dangerous. Those areas have lot of drunk people and also childrens that are alone and beg money(But not all of them). And the countryside is the safest and most peaceful place in the entire universe.

Every city has 2 side. Please always keep you safe. No matter safe city are u in never go to rural area alone after dark. Ulaanbaatar is quite chill and safe but as i mentioned there is good and bad. Suburs can be getho. Whatever you go , be smart. Dont go alone after dark, dont go to suburs alone as well.

Well there's no gun in Mongolia so armed robbery or terrorist attacks are closer to none. But I believe everywhere in the world there's still such bad people, so regardless you have to be really careful!!
