Like many travel destinations, it has instances of petty crime like theft or pickpocketing, but violent crime is relatively less common. The locals are usually respectful and accommodating towards tourists. However, higher levels of caution should be exercised during late night travels, or while traveling in less crowded areas. Pre-arranged transportation and licensed guides can further enhance the safety factor. Also, it is recommended to respect the local customs and dress modestly. Always keep important personal belongings in a secured manner and maintain awareness of your surroundings.

Jaipur's navigation varies greatly. Some areas, like the Pink City, are easy to walk around in, but others could be quite convoluted. Auto-rickshaws and taxis are readily available, though negotiating fares might pose a challenge. Public buses are also an option, but might not be entirely convenient. However, there are enough options to get around and enjoy the Rajasthani charm.

The Rajasthani capital offers a fantastic array of delectable and unique dishes, some of which have been passed down for generations. Jaipur's food scene ranges from street food counters serving popular local snacks like kachoris and ghewar, to high-end eateries that dish out haute cuisine. In terms of spiciness, you can find traditional Rajasthani meals with a spice level that suits your palette. For vegetarians, the selection is considerable and certainly not limited. Non-vegetarians are also catered for with an impressive variety of dishes, especially lamb-based. It offers a true taste exploration and is a must-visit for any foodie.

Budget:Affordable

Jaipur, often referred to as a 'budget paradise', offers a variety of accommodation ranging from affordable hostels to comfortable mid-range hotels. Street food is delectable and comes quite cheap, but the city also boasts of decently-priced restaurants that serve local cuisine. Entrance fees for attractions like the City Palace or Amer Fort are reasonable. Public transportation such as buses or rickshaws is inexpensive, but you also have the option of hiring a private car for the day which is fairly priced. However, shopping can be a bit expensive especially for exquisite local handicrafts and textiles, but with bargaining skills you can still snag good deals.

Solo travel experience

I didn't really like Jaipur. It seemed to me a very large and crowded city. I was really happy that I only spent 2 days there. It was definitely more than enough.
