I traveled to Singapore for one weekend from the Philippines. It was a last minute trip and I felt better booking the trip knowing I had family there at that time. I stayed in a little hotel away from all of the action and I took Lyft for most of my time in Singapore. Next time I will book closer to Sentosa and downtown so it is more convenient. I felt relatively safe traveling on my own and would definitely go back!

Singapore
It’s the safest city I’ve ever been. Even during late night, walking solo in little streets feels safe. The rules in Singapore are strict and this leads to a very respectful environment. If you cross the road with a man, the man will do two steps on the opposite side than you to avoid touching you by any chance. They want to avoid troubles. Enjoy the city (which is amazing) in the safest mood even if you are a female solo traveller!
Posted: March 28, 2024I felt safe! There were so many things to do and it was very very easy to get around especially as a solo female traveler! It was quite pricey, food was good and I usually would get around via car service like Uber, or walking. Sometimes the metro/train too!
Posted: January 6, 2024Singapore is a great place to visit, however it is quite expensive. I felt very safe walking around, even at night. There is plenty of things to do for a couple of days but you don’t generally need any more time than that. I visited Sentosa island to go to Universal Studios which was fun but very expensive. Marina bay is definitely a must see and there is a free light show there at night. I stayed at Wanderloft Capsule Hostel which I would rate a 3/5. The bed was good and quite enclosed so you could have privacy however the bathrooms and other areas of the accomodation definitely need some maintenance as it did not feel clean. The transport on the train is super cheap and easy to navigate so I never needed to take a taxi or Grab car, even getting to and from the airport.
Posted: December 17, 2023Great City to explore. An Overall really safe place. Accomodation is expensive, but Food can be cheap and delicious in the Hawker Centers. Drinks in the evening are mostly expensive as well, especially in some rooftop bars, but it's worth it🤭
Posted: December 7, 2023Experienced: October, 2023I felt very safe, I went everywhere, late at night alone and never felt threatened. Singapore is not cheap, but everything there is affordable. I ate at Hawker Centres, which are very good in terms of real, local cuisine.
Posted: April 15, 2023Singapore is super safe, but it is expensive. I stayed in hostels, mainly ate at markets and had a great time.
Posted: April 15, 2023Safety: I was in the minority almost everywhere I went, but I never felt threatened or belittled. If I needed help, the locals were ready to assist me. Recommendations: I loved Singapore. Everything was so beautiful and green, but it was very, very hot, so there was no point in doing hair or makeup. I traveled alone and spent most of my days exploring by myself. I would return there in a heartbeat.

Very safe, as with all places there are certain areas to be cautious in late at night but shops are open late, public transport is accessible and easy, people are generally very law-abiding and there’s not very many remote places where you won’t be able to find help if you need it.

Singapore has one of the lowest crime rates. We have strict laws. It’s safe to walk alone at night. If you leave your stuff out, no one is gonna steal it. Usually if you lose your stuff, high chance of someone returning it to you!
Posted: April 15, 2024Super safe, I can roam around freely at night, doing night jogs around my reservoir. People here may scowl but they aren’t unfriendly, just tired from overworking.. There may be a lot of foreign workers but majority of them are very friendly and far away from home and sad. They’re here to earn money not to harm anyone. But regardless, no matter how safe Singapore is, they could be one or two rotten apples, so stay vigilant and take care.

singapore is very safe for real… i love singapore haha proud singaporean here! our security is good, water is safe to drink, public transport is easy and cheap, food is so yummy. even clubbing at night for females is okay. just that during the 7th lunar month please don’t step on any of the offerings or make unnecessary comments.
Posted: April 5, 2024Singapore is pretty safe, with excellent public transport connectivity and CC TVs all over the place. There are decent options for cabs as well. Best to get an EZ link card- which is a travel card that you can load money into. You can use it on buses and trains and even in some vending machines. Saves you money, as its cheaper than paying for the ticket on each trip and also it offers discounts on trips made consecutively by bus and train.

In Singapore, there are CCTVs & cameras around and the public transport is very convenient and people are helpful if anyone needs directions. There are also 24hrs eating places like McDonald's as well as 7-Eleven so nobody can go hungry because the food delivery apps will show what's available

You could leave your bike unlocked or your phone on the cafe table without worrying that someone will grab it…. People unfortunately are very used to minding their own business and may not offer help from the get go, but are largely helpful if you ask. Streets are brightly lit and easy to walk on!! Singapore is really safe haha.
Posted: March 30, 2024When I am walking home at night I'm genuinely more afraid of ghosts than anything else. But generally, its a really safe country, you can go anywhere and everywhere (common sense applies) as a female and not feel threatened at all.
Posted: March 30, 2024Singapore is as safe as it can be! No worries about any sort of unsafe experience, but just take the normal necessary precautions. People tend to keep to themselves so you won’t really deal with cat calling or unwanted advances. If anything just ignore odd people.

I’d say it’s pretty safe as a woman living here and we have strong laws here too. For the most part, you don’t have to worry about belongings getting stolen or harassed as well. You can travel alone fine here and it’s convenient getting to places to and fro.

I had a great experience. It was a good size for seeing around in short time. People are kind. City is clean. Food is tasty. Only bad point is that many things are more expensive. But you can get affordable price and tasty food at hookers.

I loved traveling to Singapore, I've stayed there for an exchange experience as a student and it was just amazing. Definitely recommend mala food if you like spicy food and definitely try indian food and don't forget to try kaya toast with egg for breakfast! Also, my favorite area was kampong glam, but overall I enjoyed Singaporean contrasts.

Hi! I'm a 30-year-old lady who's so into travelling. However, being brown, it's not that easy convincing my parents about travelling solo unless she can be certain I am in good hands. Just seeing how this app can help me out! In any ways, I'd love to host on days that I am around in SG. However, I noticed this app lags quite frequently. Hence, if you need me, I am merely a Telegram text away! @tamtoomi
