Kotor absolutely exceeded my expectations. Compared to other European cities, it is relatively cheap, beautiful, and I felt safe there all the time.

I spent five days in the old town of Kotor and felt like in a fairy tale. I absolutely loved it and would like to go back there. There was something so relaxing about just walking around the small town, eating in different restaurants and browsing shops, then resting, then going out on a boat or walking along the bay.

Group travel experience

I spent a week in the vicinity of the Bay of Kotor. Our base was a charming small guesthouse in Perast with an amazing terrace and view. From there, we went to Kotor and other small towns in the area. There are plenty of places where you can stop and swim, and the views are incredible. Kotor is charming! I also really enjoyed spending an afternoon in Risen, looking at mosaics. I highly recommend renting a kayak on the bay. We also did a full-day sailing cruise and it was amazing!
