I definitely felt safe in this city. I usually travelled from oberursel to east of the city to catch some dance classes at the Honbu in Enkiem then go to the Gym FITSEVENELEVEN in the city I’d often leave the gym at 11PM and get home past 12PM and find that the journey to and from I felt completely safe The food was usually price I found the quality of the take out of fast wood was incredible, fresh and always made with love, eating healthy is important to me so knowing there’s always those options was so helpful I did my trip quite affordable and usually cooked at home and rarely ate out but when I did it was awesome I kept my money for activities like dancing and gym especially in the colder months when it’s snowing and little day light there isn’t much to do outside, I find when you do activities you love it’s easy to make friends and meet people which is what I tried to do. I avoided bars, clubs etc as I’m not a social drinker so I can’t comment on these spaces I particularly enjoyed bad Homburg it’s a neat and tidy area that’s very safe and a bunch of nice cafes and restaurants My favourite spot is Bella gelato italiano this spot had a choke hold on me 😭🤣 i think I’ve had the ricotta, pistachio and pomegranate gelato 10 times since being here. I’d highly recommend 🙏🏽 I’m from Australia so I’m used to warm weather, coastal living and connecting with nature. To be honest it was very difficult to stay in Germany as I’m not a city girl and when it’s to cold to be out in nature I’m not a fan, the weather is warming up and I can definitely see that the place is more beautiful going into spring and people are happier. Overall Germans don’t seem to be very joyful people that’s my only criticism
Posted: March 14, 2024Frankfurt was really safe. I was there in May and was a bit intimidated at first because it was my first time in Germany, but everyone was very friendly and spoke English. I used Uber to get around. I visited Romer Square and Kleinmarkthalle, which were nice little covered markets. Frankfurt is very pedestrian-friendly and easy to understand.

If you stay away from the train station, I would describe it as safe and not something to worry about. There are policemen nearly everywhere, cameras, etc. So if something happens, it would be detected easily.
Posted: April 17, 2024There are some edgy places, but it's very safe in general. You can usually feel comfortable being around by yourself, taking public transport, walking through parks at daytime. The area around the main station is a bit sketchy since there is quite some drug using on the streets.

Overall I would not walk around the central Station area at night not even as a group but all the street lights are on and there is a lot of police representation in the city. Public transport is safe as well

The only place I can think of as unpleasent is the main station area (hbf) Even though it looks dangerous it is actually not that much. Only the way it looks is scary. If you are with a local who knows the neighborhood it should be okay
Posted: April 3, 2024Frankfurt is safe depending on the area. Avoid traveling to the central station, especially at night. There are a lot of drug addicts. But the „Zeil“, „Römer“ and „Messe“ are safe places to visit. You can also visit the Main river. Just make sure not to walk around alone at night.

There’s a lot of rats in Frankfurt and a bit dirty in town, but for 2 days walking it was ok💅🏻 Also transport was good (except trains) DB IS SO GREAT(no please try not to use db) 🤩🤩🤩 Also we didn’t book a hotel, we just found one on the main street, it was quite normal and cheap!
