For the most part, I felt safe.... There are many activities, depends on budget and personal preference. However in hot summer-months might be somewhat limited, because it gets hot for outdoor activities... Restaurants are mostly clean, the prices are ok to expensive...you can find restaurants, snack bars and fast food chains everywhere..... You can get rid of the budget quickly.... I stayed in Hostel... I used mostly Metro, sometimes Taxi, i walked also a lot...i used Google Maps to find spots
Posted: April 7, 2024Experienced: January, 2024I felt safe in Dubai, I could walk at 2am and still feel safe. I stayed there for 2 months apt is expensive if I want a good location. Food is good but I liked the food in sharjah better as it was more authentic. I did a few activities through viator and facebook. So met some cool people.

Dubai is very safe for women in general. I recommend traveling here even if you're solo. The public beaches aren't the perfect place tho. Some people stare at you awkwardly when you're in a bikini. So maybe you can try private beach clubs or sth

This city is ABSOLUTELY amazing! I was traveling solo and I really felt safe there. Though it was quite expensive, it's totally worth it! It's like a mini-Europe type of city with skyscrappers, and beautiful places to see! I totally recommend visiting it.
Posted: January 31, 2024Experienced: October, 2023First time in Dubai during the summer - Encountered no safety problems or language barriers, everyone extremely friendly with a large expat population - Never ran out of things to do on a 10 day trip, highly recommend 1-2 days out to Abu Dhabi if time permits - Dubai is a generally expensive city, but you can cut costs by going in the low season (the summer) like I did. Be aware that it will mean going out to the beaches in the day virtually impossible as most of our outings were indoors
Posted: December 18, 2023Here in duabi as a female solo I felt pretty safe almost everywhere, I recommend it for sure as Tourism if you like the city life. If u're coming to work like I did just be prepared to start gradually & as well do ur research

I had a great trip to Dubai recently. I have visited many times before but for this trip I was here for COP28 and to try different foods. I felt very safe in Dubai as a woman and protected - there’s lots of security and police around and people to help. I stayed in an Airbnb close to the metro station which was convenient to get around easily. The food varies from place to place dependent on your budget but overall there are strong safety standards for food and quality. The local Emirati people have been so friendly and hospitable and it was a fantastic experience this time. I would recommend Dubai for anyone regardless of budget.
Posted: December 11, 2023Experienced: December, 2023I went on a girls' trip last month with my sisters to Dubai, it was pretty nice, we had a lot of fun, there are lots of activities and it's pretty safe for women even at night, we stayed at the canal business hotel and used the Careem app to get around the city. I would recommend preparing a fairly large budget because most of the activities are quite expensive.

What can I say about Dubai? The most amazing city in the world! I felt safe and I used to take night walks along Dubai Marina Walk alone. It was so beautiful and I cannot wait to go back soon. Do no skip a boat ride in Dubai Marina. As cheap as AED 100 for 2 hours.
Posted: November 10, 2023Experienced: November, 2017I couldn't wait to leave. It's definitely a very safe, but boring city. I like to travel to experience culture and meet people, but everyone I met were not Emiratis, but foreign workers. The only thing I enjoyed was the museum in Dubai, which is small but informative. Everything else was artificial and fake.

Pretty safe, wouldn’t recommend to leave personal things on public beaches but overall nothing to worry about. People are welcoming and helpful as well. The only taxis drivers can try to make money on tourists taking a very long road or extra circle , so follow the map better and don’t be afraid to mention that
Posted: April 15, 2024Dubai is probably the safest city I have ever been in. In nine years of living there I have never had anything stolen or had any physical issues. Everyone who loves there comments on how safe it is in comparison to other cities.
Posted: April 11, 2024I was born and raised here, the place is genuinely safe. The city areas are well populated with people and have lots of police patrols etc so you don't have to worry even late at night. It will just be a culture shock cause of the various cultures and nationalities that live here.
Posted: April 10, 2024Dubai is super safe, everywhere there are cameras but still you need to be aware of your surroundings. I still don’t go out alone in the dark except some places like Dubai Marina where it’s always full of people. If you visit Deira (old Dubai), this place is totally different than the rest. And, be aware, sellers there will be trying to scam you.
Posted: April 3, 2024Dubai is generally a very safe place for women but there have been increasing reports of attacks on women over the past few years. Whilst it is safe, it is equally important to keep your wits about you. Only use the registered taxis and make sure you lock your front door etc. There is never really any pick pocketing

I have lived in Dubai for over a year now, and can confirm it is one of the safest places to visit as a female traveler! If you are visiting areas in old town Dubai, you should dress respectfully and can expect some heckling from shop owners in the souk. If you visit the more popular tourist areas, like downtown or the marina, it is extremely safe with lots of people around! It’s not uncommon to be approached by men in bars and beach clubs, however they are usually very respectful and nice people to meet!

Dubai is really a lovely place for a vacation. It took me a few days to get used to the heat, but despite that, I enjoyed my stay. I first stayed at First Collection JVC, and then moved with friends to the Rove Hotel, around the Marina axis, to have access to all the entertainment places. The food was fine, and the view from my hotel room was extraordinary. Jet skiing, shooting range, and desert safari were my favorite attractions. I will definitely visit this place again.
Posted: November 19, 2023Holiday in dubai several times great weather in the winter months, so much to do and now live here. Great attractions, beaches and food. Dubai has some amazing places to eat, relax and enjoy breath taking views. Best sunsets
