It’s really safe for solo traveler to travel in their capital city, there’s not much things to do in Bratislava, I recommend to take a bus 20mins to a small town , there is a meditation circle on the hill of the town which is really amazing!
Posted: March 25, 2024Bratislava was nice and I felt safe. I stayed for one night and felt that was enough. I recommend a trip to Devín Castle.
Posted: May 21, 2023Bratislava is not too big, not too crowded, has a nice old town, a castle, and several very good museums, which are not big enough to get bored there. Amazing views of the Danube. There are many inexpensive restaurants, tasty food, and good beer and wine. I felt very safe there. I visited Devín Castle on a hill, located at the confluence of the Morava and Danube, a picturesque place.
Posted: May 20, 2023Bratislava is a rather small and pedestrian-friendly city. I visited it in one day. I stayed there in a hostel and it was quite okay. I felt safe.

I spent 2 days in Bratislava and that was enough for me. I visited Devín Castle in the first half of the day, and then I went to the center - Hrad, the Old Town, and covered all the major landmarks. The next day I went to see St. Elizabeth's Church, it was built from blue stone and looked amazing. It is located a bit off the beaten path, so I went there another day (after the main landmarks). I also combined this with a visit to Rusovce Castle, which offers beautiful views and has a large park.
Posted: May 28, 2023I was in Bratislava last month. Charming city, small, but there's plenty to do. However, it's not the best place for nightlife.
