I feel really safe in Berlin! After visiting and then staying for a few months I love the people, its a capital city so of course you have to keep your wits about you as its busy and can be hectic but I walk at night late all the time with no worries but of course be careful!

I went to Berlin. It was so fun and I had such a fun time being in Berlin and learning about the german culture. My stay there was overall safe and I never felt uncomfortable. I would definitely want to there once again:)

I enjoyed being in Berlin; I went for work, and honestly, I could enjoy its streets. However, in the hotel I stayed at, there was a spa, and I only used it once because apparently, it is normal in Germany for people to be naked in spas. Moreover, in my hotel's spa, clothing was prohibited, and you could only use the robe they provided. The food was normal; I am a vegetarian, so something that surprised me is that in ALL places, there was a vegetarian/vegan option. I felt safe at all times and went to explore the monuments.
Posted: February 7, 2024I would definitely recommend Berlin. The a and o hostel at Berlin Mitte is good located, cheap and offers just woman rooms. I felt really safe there and had a lot of fun. Great bars, clubs and food sport around.
Posted: December 1, 2023Experienced: October, 2023So, I just spent 3 nights in Berlin and out of a few of my solo trips to European cities (Dublin, Barcelona, Porto, Lisbon), I felt absolutely safest there. I loved how the city is connected through public transportation, I felt safe returning to the hostel after a night out, etc. I walked around the city, both during the day and at night, and I was never harassed. I even went out at night for the first time - scary, but so funny. I stayed at St Christopher's Inn hostel - personally, I found it quite basic for the price I paid (compared to other hostels where I stayed in other cities), but the location was ideal, and overall it wasn't bad.
Posted: October 8, 2023Berlin is very safe. I travelled alone, walked around the city late at night and moved everywhere without any problems.
Posted: May 22, 2023I've been to Berlin a few times and always felt safe, even when walking around at night. Charming city for strolling. So many things to see and do.
Posted: April 30, 2023When I went last year, I was often approached by passers-by and watched, even when I was in large groups with guys, both in tourist and non-tourist places. Generally, I felt safe because there were a lot of people around. Despite everything, I really had a good time.
Posted: April 11, 2023Things to do: - See the Brandenburg Gate - Visit the Parliament - Walk along the bank of the Spree River - Visit the East Side Gallery - Visit the City Center Safety: Berlin is really a safe city, especially in the touristic areas. Recommendations: Berlin is beautiful and there is a lot to do and see.

Certain areas are very safe, other areas are not recommended to walk alone after dark. I live near the center and there I feel safe also after dark. I live near a metro station and I never felt unsafe near my home, but probably I wouldn't feel the same at other parts of the city.
Posted: April 17, 2024It’s pretty safe, just some u bahn stations in the south of Neukolln and Leopoldplatz in wedding could be a bit unpleasant, sketchy. In some parks, like gorlitzer it could be sketchy near entrance/public bathrooms.
Posted: April 15, 2024Berlin is relatively safe. Avoid obscure areas during night time and watch out for your valuables in public transportation and tourist hotspots. Go out of the way of drunkards and people on drug trips and you should be fine.
Posted: April 9, 2024I did experience two times by almost been raped while being alone in Berlin both times in the evening once I was on the streets alone to go home once after a concert So I don’t recommend women to ever walk alone in Berlin
Posted: April 9, 2024Just avoid some streets and areas in the suburbs or Neukölln/Kreuzberg and you totally feel safe. Otherwise use a taxi or Uber at night and you can enjoy the city to the fullest. There is nothing to be worried about it
Posted: April 8, 2024I live in Berlin Neukölln where the police doesn't like to come because of the gangs and many people having weapons (but not showing them in public) wich feels pretty save to me because they protect each other better than the police could ever do. In the trains are often homeless people asking for money but the most dangerous thing about them is their smell sometimes. All in all we have access to biologically grown food in the supermarkets so we can even choose to have less harmefull chemicals on our food and have just the chemicals of our environment left wich I chose over those in the food

Safe place to travel at night. Some areas are not that safe however no one will bother you untill you are under your control. Public transportation is really good over all Berlin area. Safe to travel any time of the day

I think it's very safe in Berlin, there hasn't been a single situation where I was afraid something would happen to me. You can also travel to Berlin on your own without any problems. You can also book an Uber at any time without any problems. :)

being out at night in Berlin is really dependent on what area you find yourself in, in some particular areas it can be dangerous, in others in contrast you are fine, overall you need to be careful and avoid certain areas
Posted: March 19, 2024I live here for more than 2 years, the city has its own nonwritten things and rhythm, but I feel safe here and I feel that all individuals around me feel safe too. No one minds taking transportation late at night or have a fear related to be out at night. Streets are fine and it’s a lively city, so you are surrounded. Awareness related to queer scene, as a result of the diversity, empathy towards all groups are high. Talking about the central parts through my experience!

Arriving in Berlin for language school, I wasn’t sure if I would get the most out of the city as a solo traveler. However, the city with its vibrant community and extensive sightseeing options always kept me interested for a whole month. I went to all the museums, chatted with many locals, and ate the best doner (outside Turkey of course).

I am a very responsable and reliable traveler who enjoys visiting new places. I enjoy hiking and camping in nature, and get to know locals in remote exotic places.
