Is Africa Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Africa is generally safe for solo female travellers. It is important to research the areas you plan to visit and take the necessary precautions to ensure your safety. Be aware of your surroundings, avoid travelling alone at night, and dress modestly. Additionally, it is recommended to stay in secure accommodation and to register with your embassy or consulate in the country you are visiting.

Solo travel experience

I started my journey in Kenya in Mombasa, then flew to Rwanda and took a gorilla trekking trip, then travelled overland and stayed overnight in Rwanda, Uganda, until I returned back to Kenya. Then I flew to South Africa and travelled along the coast of Cape Town, Hermanus, Simons Town, Gansbaai and Stellenbosch. It was the trip of a lifetime.

Stay with locals in Africa

Stay with local women in Africa who offer free accommodation as part of cultural exchange. Couch surfing is a great way to meet new people, learn more about new cultures and experience destinations like a local.

About me

As a passionate traveler, I have dedicated my life to exploring the wonders of the world and sharing my knowledge with others. One of my favorite destinations is the Mzamba Petrified Forest at Wild Coast Sun, where I am privileged to work as a tour guide. The Petrified Forest is a truly unique and captivating sight, with ancient trees turned to stone over millions of years. As I lead visitors through the forest, I am filled with a sense of awe at the power of nature and the mysteries of time. Each tour is a journey through history, as I share the story of how these trees were preserved for generations to come. From the delicate fossilized leaves to the massive trunks frozen in time, every corner of the forest holds a secret waiting to be discovered. If you too have a love for travel and adventure, I invite you to book a tour with me at buyembocc@gmail.com. Let us explore the wonders of the Mzamba Petrified Forest together, and embark on a journey that will leave you in awe of the beauty and majesty of our world.
