Is Bury St Edmunds safe for women?

It is such a sweet little town, super friendly. Very easy to find your way around and it has some beautiful buildings like the cathedral and gorgeous independent shops. I would recommend the Christmas market that starts in November and to go shopping down St John’s Street.
