Solo travelWhich city is better for a mix of city life, day trips, and nightlife: Zurich or Geneva?
I’m off to Switzerland and was wondering what city would be preferable to base myself in- Zurich or Geneva? I want the best of both, the city feel and the opportunity to do a day excursion to beautiful mountainous parts of the country. I also like a good party. Which would be better?

Hey, I'm from Zurich so I might be a bit biased. But I think Zurich is the better option. It offers so many cool things to do. I personally don't like Geneva, it's very expensive and it almost feels foreign. Zurich feels more genuine and "swiss" to me. Nightlife in Zurich is also great. And you are very close (1-2h) to a lot of beautiful places in the mountains. If the weather is good, you can even see them from Zurich!
