How much spending money is recommended for a 4/5 day trip to Amsterdam?

I’m wanting to go away for my birthday to Amsterdam for 4/5 days. Any recommendations of where to stay preferably the centre and not in a hostel. Also any ideas of how much spending money is recommended? Thanks
