About me

Hi folks! I am a Christian health care worker currently living in Inverness, from Wales, trying to have some adventures. I like going for walks/hikes (nothing too crazy), swimming in nature, eating and cooking and baking, board game nights with friends, and TV and movies.

Solo travel experience

Inverness is a very safe place to travel to. I think it probably helps to have a hired car in order to make the most of the experience of the surrounding beautiful nature, but there are lots of tourist bus tours etc that you can use There's plenty of interesting history in the area too, especially at Culloden battlefield. The centre of the town is small but has plenty of lovely restaurants. The locals tend to be very friendly, but the population does double in size during the tourism season which can make people a little frustrated at times 😅 If you like hiking and swimming, there is loads of beauty to enjoy.

Solo travel experience

Inverness is nice, but it didn't amaze me that much. It's a good starting point to head to Loch Ness, the Highlands, or even to the Isle of Skye, which is incredible.
