I spent 4 days in the Philippines, mainly in Manila with family, but we did one day trip to a local beach, where we hired a boat. The day trip we did was lots of fun, we hired a local driver to take us who was very good. The beach was a bit disappointing as we wanted to go snorkelling but a lot of the businesses in the area we went to were closed. Manila was not a great experience as I didn't feel very safe a lot of the time and we were told by hotel staff to not go out at night because it wasn't safe.
