Every corner of the town exudes a blend of German and French cultures, reflecting its historical fluctuations. Colmar also prides itself as the capital of Alsatian wine, offering a great variety of wine tasting opportunities for food and wine enthusiasts.

I went to Colmar for the Christmas market. It was very nice, but crowded. I recommend going when the markets are still open between Christmas and New Year's. My friend went during this time and there were no crowds at all.

Colmar is a very beautiful city, although very touristy. We went there for one day and it was sufficient, as it is not too big. If you like old architecture, this is the perfect, charming place. It's nice to just sit with a glass of wine, eat a piece of flambée tart, and watch the people passing by. I've visited many cities and this one definitely stands out in my memory.
